UD Enterprises is excited to host the final class of the spring Jamie Lembeck Yoga Series. Universal Design (UD) Yoga is yoga that is designed to be inclusive to everyone, with classes structured to allow people of all abilities and skill levels to participate in a way that’s comfortable, safe, and gratifying.
The Jamie Lembeck Spring Yoga Series was held every Friday in the spring from 1:30 - 3:00 p.m., beginning April 6 and ending May 18. Classes were sponsored by East Meets West Yoga and UD Enterprises, and taught by qualified, certified instructors from both.
The series was funded by the Jamie Lembeck Fund at the Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo. Mr. Lembeck was a disability advocate who supported full community inclusion for everyone. After his death ten years ago, the Jamie Lembeck Fund was established in order to support inclusive initiatives in the Buffalo area. “I like to think Jamie himself would have enjoyed these classes,” said UD Enterprises founder and yoga instructor Sue Dolce Mann. “It’s exciting to watch participants as they learn who they are in yoga, exploring poses and developing awareness.”
The final class will be held at The Foundry, located at 1738 Elmwood Avenue in Buffalo, NY, from 1:30 to 3 pm. Followed by a celebration of Jamie Lembeck from 3 to 5 pm. Everyone is invited to attend and enjoy appetizers, beverages, and connect with the community.
